Fun Stuff at School

Kaiden's school did a wax museum. The kids got to pick an important person from our history and learn about them. Then they got to dress up as that character and act like a wax figure. Kaiden chose John F. Kennedy!

 They also had 80's day at school! Here's Kaiden rocking out some totally cool threads!

Abby had a big report that she worked super hard on. She got to choose her favorite animal and then write a report and do a presentation at school. She Chose the Zebra!

Volleyball!

Madi was lucky enough to make the Club Utah volleyball team! She had so much fun, made some new friends, and most of all just loved playing volleyball! Even though her team didn't go very far in the finals, she learned so much from the experience!

Hope Of America

May 4th 2011

Kaiden was lucky enough to perform in the Hope of America with his school. This is for all 5th graders and happens every year. Madi also performed when she was in 5th grade, and Abby will do the same! We tried to take pictures of Kaiden but he was to far away. His school is the 5th white stripe up from the bottom in the middle section!

Easter 2011

Yep, told you I'm behind a whole year and here is the post to prove it! Friday night we had some family time and dyed some Easter eggs. We actually had all the kids home that night, which doesn't happen that often anymore.

Here are all the kids finished eggs! They got pretty creative this year.

  I was a little bit addicted to Angry Birds last year, so Darrin made some sweet Angry Bird eggs!

Saturday we had our annual Easter egg hunt at Gram and Papa's house. The kids always come home with a ton of candy and toys!

Easter morning the kids had fun searching for their baskets. I must have taken lots of video footage because I didn't have many pictures.

Abby was so happy to finally find her Easter basket. It was hidden in the pantry behind the garbage can.

The kids Easter baskets were different colors this year, and filled with way to much candy and toys! 

 Later that afternoon we headed out to Grandma and Grandpa Haun's for another BBQ and another Easter egg hunt. I was in charge of bringing the cake. I tried to be creative and make an Easter bunny cake, here are my results!

SURPRISE

April 2011 Spring Break

Spring break was approaching and we had no plans. Tammy and Preston had planned a trip to Disneyland, but we just weren't sure if we should go or not. {We were planning on going in June} But at the last minute we decided that we should just go and surprise Tammy and Preston when we get there. We thought we were pretty sneaky but I think they had suspected us even though we decided to go at the last minute. When we arrived in Cali we unpacked and headed over to Disneyland. We waited inside the gates while we watched for them to get there.

When we saw then we had this great plan to just randomly start walking next to them and see if they noticed. We thought their reaction would be like this!!

But they were just more happy to see us then surprised! We of course did all the typical autograph stops.

Finally got to see the World Of Color. It was so amazing, definitely worth fighting the crowds and the late nights!

Abby was so tired and cold that night. We had to wait forever in our spots for it to start. They wanted everyone to stand while we were waiting, ya right!

We have so many good memories from our trips to Disneyland! I cant wait to keep making more!
